Hayk Marikyan

Head of Engineering at Hexens — security firm. Before that ran engineering at AliExpress CIS, earlier — at Kaspersky. In parallel — cofounder and CTO at Trenda.Coach. About ten years in development.

HighTech is a Telegram channel and a website. Here I write about how to stay technically real in the AI era. Not about "AI will replace engineers" and not about "AI changes nothing." About the third option: AI multiplies the quality of development. A strong team plus agents is leverage. A weak team plus agents is scaled-up mess.

Anyone can prototype with AI.
Engineering is what makes it not collapse on the second feature.

The Russian reading: anyone can ship an MVP today by prompting their way through it, and there's nothing terrible about that — it's the new baseline. Past that, what can't be assembled on prompts begins: keeping the product from falling apart on the second feature, the tenth, the hundredth — that takes process, in-code artifacts, shared team skills. And scale here isn't only about highload; it's more about product scale — when there are already ten features and the agents are breaking each other's merges.

The site is for long working documents: playbooks, frameworks, breakdowns. The channel — @stayhightech — is for the daily cadence: field notes, security takes on vibecoded code, links with my angle.
